Tyldesley travelled to Blackburn following last seasons successes knowing that they would have to reach far higher levels of performance this season if they are to survive in what is going to be a highly competitive division.

 

As seems to be the way at Ramsgreave Drive a strong wind was blowing directly down the ground meant that the team who made the most of it would probably be the winner.

Tyldesley entertained Broughton Park on Saturday and lost out in the 11th minute of added time at the end of the game. Tyldesley welcomed back John Fisher into the centre with James O'Connor and Chris Soutar swapping positions with Chris starting on the bench this week.

After the poor performance last week Tyldesley took on league leaders Lymm at St Georges Park looking for a vast improvement to help kick start their season.

 

The late withdrawals of Soutar and Dickinson, less than two hours before kick off, meant that Hayes had to make a swift about turn from his trip to Ormskirk with the seconds and a surprise return to action for captain Worsfold after three months out through injury.
